I am thinking about getting a scooter and a hitch mounted rack for the back of my Honda Fit like the one shown here:

http://www.discountramps.com/dirt-bike-hitch-carrier.htm

but would 275 lbs (the weight of the scooter and hitch combined) on the back end of a Fit be too much for it to handle?

Do you want to read a good story??

Her hair was up in a pony tail,
her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy’s Day at school,
and she couldn’t wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her,
that she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
if she went to school alone.
But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say.
    What to tell her
classmates of why he wasn’t there today.
    But still her mother worried,
for her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
she tried to keep her daughter home.
But the little girl went to school
    eager to tell them all.
    About a dad she never sees;
    a dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet.
    Children squirming impatiently,
    anxious in their seats
One by one the teacher called a student from the class.
    To introduce
their daddy, as seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name,
    every child turned to stare.
    Each of them was searching,
for a man who wasn’t there.
    "Where’s her daddy at?"
she heard a boy call out.
    "She probably doesn’t have one,"
    another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back,
    she heard a daddy say,
    "Looks like another deadbeat dad,
too busy to waste his day."
The words did not offend her,
as she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
    slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
    came words incredibly unique.
    "My Daddy couldn’t be here,
because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him,
    I wanted you to know.
    All about my daddy,
and how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories
he taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
and taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes,
and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
    I’m not standing here alone.
"Cause my daddy’s always with me,
    even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
he’ll forever be in my heart"
With that, her little hand reached up,
    and lay across her chest.
    Feeling her own heartbeat,
    beneath her favorite dress.
And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads,
    her mother stood in tears.
    Proudly watching her daughter,
who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love
of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
    doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down,
    staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
but its message clear and loud.
"I love my daddy very much,
    he’s my shining star.
And if he could, he’d be here,
    but heaven’s just too far
You see he was a firefighter
and died just this past year
    When airplanes hit the towers
    and taught Americans to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes,
it’s like he never went away."
And then she closed her eyes,
and she saw him there that day.
    And to her mothers amazement,
    she witnessed with surprise
A room full of daddies and children,
all starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they saw before them,
who knows what they felt inside.
    Perhaps for merely a second,
they saw him at her side.
"I know you’re with me Daddy,"
to the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it,
for each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
by the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing,
that heaven is never too far.

They say it takes a minute to find a special
person, an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them, but then an entire
    life to forget them.

My family thinks its ridiculous to carry any dog in anything. My mom says, "there dogs let them walk". I can understand where there coming from but 1. They are so little(the ones that can fit in carriers) that there little bodies can’t keep up nearly as long as ours. What if you want to go to D.C or Baltimore? What if you have to walk for a long time?2. A lot of dogs were bred for that for instance I have two Yorkie’s and Yorkie’s were originally bred for a hunting dog small enough to fit in a pocket or saddle bag. 3. What if you plainly want to ride a bike?4. Dont kids who are clearly able to walk ride in strollers? All comments are respected.

I hoping I can get some help from you guys for a unique birthday surprise for my hubby. He is turning 23 on Monday, and lately our lives have been very stressful.

Originally, he and I had discussed him getting a motorcycle for his birthday. Happy to fulfill one of his dreams, I readily agreed. I found the bike, scheduled his insurance coverage, etc. He was completely aware and beyond excited. Well, the following day, we found out that our daughter (Due in December) is at very high risk for Cystic Fibrosis. She shows early warning signs, and her father and I are both carriers for the mutated gene that causes CF. Needless to say, we found it be a wise decision to hold off spending the money on the motorcycle for the current time being and possibly for the next several years. Although he understands why, he is completely heartbroken…. about the motorcycle and our daughter. I catch him browsing ads online constantly, and I know that deep down he is still upset about it.

With all of that being said, our lives have been super stressful lately. I have already arranged a surprise party with all of our friends for a fun night of dinner and bowling; however, I would still like to get him a very special gift. He really deserves it. I am just absolutely fresh out of ideas.

                Any suggestions, thoughts, or ideas?

I probably shoud have mentioned that a motorcycle is really kind of out of the question right now. The risks of riding, payments, insurance premium increase, etc are all really too much for us to take on. Financially, I’m sure we would be fine, but if something were to happen to him I would be left alone to raise a daughter with Cystic Fibrosis.
I really have no set limit as to what I’m looking to spend. I just want it to be something really special.

And then not doing any kind of investigation or doing anything really.
What is the type of attorney or name for the attorney who handles things like this:
The post office delivered a package to unit #4 instead of 44 , I did not know this was what happened when my package failed to arrive, it took hours of tracking down the package, calling the postal service hot line and asking individual mail carriers at the post office,The package was expensive, it costed a couple hundred dollars. And he gave it to the neighbors instead of the person who it was addressed to who spent the money on the package. They did not offer to do an investigation to recover the package, instead they told me to go and try to get it back from the neighbors, while I was there I chipped my tooth falling down on my bike. Now I have to go to the dentist for a chipped tooth. I really HATE these people. This was stuff for school and I spent hours anticipating the arrival of my stuff, days worrying about where it was when it did not show up. And hours tracking it down, to the point of having to miss school. The package was not insured because the company who shipped it didn’t insure it though, but The mail carrier, said he remembers giving the package to a person and it wasn’t us. The company who shipped it says they definitely generated the correct address on the package, and I saw the conformation email with the correct address, but the post office guy said it said unit 4, and that was why he took it to unit 4. But It did not say unit 4 . So unit 4 has the package of stuff , and probably wanted to keep it because it was "free stuff" not even stuff they needed anywhere near as much as the person who it was addressed to. They would not open the door when I knocked.

Is it a personal injury attorney? Or would I just go to small claims court with no attorney, I think this is more serious than small claims.
Also If you could keep the comments like how dare you sue, too many people are suing other people that’s whats wrong with America, please just don’t write that. I was cheated out of a lot of hard earned money.

And when she dropped her hand back down,
                      Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.
"I love my daddy very much,
                      He’s my shining star.
And if he could he’d be here,
                      But heaven’s just too far.
You see he was a fireman
And died just this past year.
                      When airplanes hit the towers
                      And taught Americans to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes,
It’s like he never went away."
And then she closes her eyes,
And saw him there that day.
                      And to her mother’s amazement,
                      She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they say before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.

They saw him at her side.
"I know you’re with me Daddy."
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
By the love of her shining bright star.
And given the gift of believing,

I have a 2002 honda civic and want to put a hitch on it and buy one of those hitch motorcycle carriers that you plug into the hitch. I will only need this to drive about 15 miles from one house to another where I live. My bike is a little over 400 lbs will this work?

                          Daddy’s Poem

Her hair was up in a pony tail,
Her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy’s Day at school,
And she couldn’t wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone.

                          But she was not afraid,
She knew just what to say.
                          What to tell her classmates,
Of why he wasn’t there today.

                          But, still her mother worried,
For her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
She tried to keep her daughter home…

But the little girl went to school,
                          Eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees,
                          A dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back,
                          For everyone to meet.
                          Children squirming impatiently,
                          Anxious in their seats.

One by one the teacher called,
                          A student from the class.
                          To introduce their daddy,
                          As seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name,
                          Every child turned to stare.
                          Each of them was searching,
                          A man who wasn’t there.

                          ‘Where’s her daddy at?’,
She heard a boy call out.
                          ‘She probably doesn’t have one,’
                          Another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back,
                          She heard a daddy say,
                          ‘Looks like another deadbeat dad,
Too busy to waste his day.’

The words did not offend her,
As she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
Who told her to go on.

And with hands behind her back,
                          Slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
                          Came words incredibly unique.

                          ‘My Daddy couldn’t be here,
Because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
Since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him,
                          I wanted you to know.
                          All about my daddy,
And how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories,
He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite..

We used to share fudge sundaes,
And ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
                          I’m not standing here alone.

‘Cause my daddy’s always with me,
                          Even though we are apart,
I know because he told me,
He’ll forever be in my heart’.

With that, her little hand reached up,
                          And lay across her chest.
                          Feeling her own heartbeat,
                          Beneath her favorite dress.

And from somewhere there in the crowd of dads,
                          Her mother stood in tears.
                          Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love,
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
                          Doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down,
                          Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,

                          But heaven’s just too far.’

You see, he is a Marine,
                          And died just this past year;
When a roadside bomb hit his convoy,
                          And taught Americans to fear.

But sometimes when I close my eyes,

does comfort zone with D.A.P work?

For the most part, my boys will never have to be alone. My newly adopted dog, however, sometimes freaks when left alone. He is fine in his crate at night but will freak if left in the house during the day. I’m moving into an apartment soon and can’t have him eating the place. I’m getting a baby gate so they can stay in the kitchen with water and toys (kong with stuffin is my best friend.) Also I’m investing in dog carriers so we can bike to the dog park for an hour of play during the day and they get a 45 minute walk at night. I was thinking of just using the D.A.P plug in or spray on their day time bed when I go shopping and such.

He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes,
And ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him,
                                I’m not standing here alone.

"Cause my daddy’s always with me,
                                Even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
He’ll forever be in my heart"

With that, her little hand reached up,
                                And lay across her chest.
                                Feeling her own heartbeat,
                                Beneath her favorite dress.

And from somewhere in the crowd of dads,
                                Her mother stood in tears.
                                Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
                                Doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down,
                                Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.

"I love my daddy very much,
                                He’s my shining star.
And if he could, he’d be here,
                                But heaven’s just too far."

You see he was a fireman
And died just this past year
                                When airplanes hit the towers
                                And taught Americans to fear.

But sometimes when I close my eyes,
"It’s like he never went away."
And then she closed her eyes,
And saw him there that day.

                                And to her mother’s amazement,
                                She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.
                                Perhaps for merely a second,
They saw him at her side.

"I know you’re with me Daddy,"
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
By the love of her shining bright star.
And given the gift of believing,
That heaven is never too far

They say it takes a minute to find a
                                special person, an hour to
appreciate them, a day to love them, but
then an entire life to forget them.

Send this to the people you’ll never
                                forget and remember to send
it also to the person that sent it to you.
It’s short message to let them know that
                                you’ll never forget them.

If you don’t send it to anyone, it means
you’re in a hurry and that
                                you’ve forgot your friends.
Take the time…to live and love.

I have 2 cats and live in a village with no public transport. I do not have a car at the moment and need to take my cats to the vets for their annual injections. I usually cycle everywhere. Has anyone seen a device/carrier that can be used on a mountain bike to transport my 2 cats to the nearest vet which is 4 miles away. No other way to get there until at least March when I get a new car.

How do child carrier seats attach to bikes?

I’ve never messed with a toddler carrier seat, but I may have need of it soon. I have three bikes, but the one I think best suited to a child carrier is my Global Carmel which is a nice 3 speed I’m going to call it a townie, but it really describes a proper definition.

                                    http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?spid=38419

I’m looking for one of the standard mount behind the rider setups, not a trailer to drag. That bike has lots of braze-ons that I think are meant for rear racks and some for fenders I guess that I don’t use. Does anyone have recommendations or at least a solid "Yeah one should work on your goofy bike because?"

(My other two bikes are a 24" and 26" BMX so I’m leaving those out of this for now)
                                    (defies a proper definition, doh!)

                                      DADDYS DAY

Her hair was up in a ponytail,
her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy’s Day at school,
and she couldn’t wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her,
that she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
if she went to school alone.

                                      But she was not afraid;
she knew just what to say.
                                      What to tell her classmates
of why he wasn’t there today.

                                      But still her mother worried,
for her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
she tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school
                                      eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees
                                      a dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back,
                                      for everyone to meet.
                                      Children squirming impatiently,
                                      anxious in their seats

One by one the teacher called
                                      a student from the class.
                                      To introduce their daddy,
                                      as seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name,
                                      every child turned to stare.
                                      Each of them was searching,
                                      a man who wasn’t there.

                                      "Where’s her daddy at?"
She heard a boy call out.
                                      "She probably doesn’t have one,"
                                      another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back,
                                      she heard a daddy say,
                                      "Looks like another deadbeat dad,
too busy to waste his day."

The words did not offend her,
as she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
who told her to go on.

And with hands behind her back,
                                      slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
                                      came words incredibly unique.

                                      "My Daddy couldn’t be here,
because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him,
                                      I wanted you to know.
                                      All about my daddy,
and how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories
he taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
and taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes,
and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
                                      I’m not standing here alone.

"Cause my daddy’s always with me,
                                      even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
he’ll forever be in my heart"

With that, her little hand reached up,
                                      and lay across her chest.
                                      Feeling her own heartbeat,
                                      beneath her favorite dress.

And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads,

                                      staring straight into the crowd.

                                      "I love my daddy very much;

and died just this past year
When a roadside bomb hit his convoy

And then she closed her eyes,
and saw him there that day.

                                      And to her mother’s amazement,
                                      she witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
all starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them,
who knows what they felt inside.
                                      Perhaps for merely a second,
they saw him at her side.

"I know you’re with me Daddy,"
to the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it,
for each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
by the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing,
that heaven is never too far.

                                      HERE IS THE OTHER ONE

                                      ROSES

Each year he sent her roses, and the note would always say,
“I love you even more each year, than last year on this day.
My love for you will always grow, with every passing year.”

She knew this was the last time that the roses would appear.
She thought he ordered roses in advance before this day.
Her loving husband did not know that he would pass away.

He always liked to do things early, way before the time.
Then, if he got too busy, everything would work out fine.
She trimmed the stems and placed them in a very special vase.

Then, sat the vase beside the portrait of his smiling face.
She would sit for hours, in her husband’s favorite chair.
While staring at his picture, and the roses sitting there.

A year went by, and it was to live without her mate.
With loneliness and solitude, that had become her fate.

Then, the very hour, the doorbell rang and there were roses sitting by her door
She brought roses in, and then just looked at them in shock,
Then, went to get the telephone, to call the florist shop.

The owner answered, and she asked him, if he could explain,
Why would someone do this to her, causing her such pain?

“I know your husband passed away, more than a year ago,”
                                      T

I would like a hard tail as I would occasionally attach a child trailer to it. Any advice would be great, I’m planning on shedding some pounds using my bike as my daily driver, trying to go green. Thanks!
