Her hair was up in a pony tail, her favorite dress tied with a bow.Today was Daddy’s Day at school,
and she couldn’t wait to go. But her mommy tried to tell her,
that she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand,if she went to school alone.
But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates of why he wasn’t there today.
But still her mother worried, for her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again, she tried to keep her daughter home. But the little girl went to school
eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees; a dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently
anxious in their seats
One by one the teacher called a student from the class. To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name, every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching,
for a man who wasn’t there. "Where’s her daddy at?"
she heard a boy call out. "She probably doesn’t have one,"another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back, she heard a daddy say,
"Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day." The words did not offend her,
as she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher,
who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique. my daddy couldn’t be here because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, since this is such a special day.And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know. All about my daddy,
and how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories
he taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses,
and taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him. I’m not standing here alone.
"Cause my daddy’s always with me, even though we are apart
I know because he told me, he’ll forever be in my heart"
With that, her little hand reached up, and lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat, beneath her favorite dress.
And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter,
who was wise beyond her years. For she stood up for the love of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her, doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down,
staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
but its message clear and loud.
"I love my daddy very much,
he’s my shining star. And if he could, he’d be here,
but heaven’s just too far You see he was a firefighter
and died just this past year When airplanes hit the towers
and taught Americans to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it’s like he never went away."
And then she closed her eyes, and she saw him there that day. And to her mothers amazement,
she witnessed with surprise A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they saw before them,
who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side. "I know you’re with me Daddy," to the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it,
for each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
by the love of her shining star. And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them

Can’t find a motorcycle trailer with U-Haul and don’t have a POV,can anyone help and suggest something? Requalification CQ, I read is when you have not landing on a carrier for more than 6 months. Is the degree of difficulty higher or is it like riding a bike?
How about Undergraduate CQ?
Initial CQ? When you transition to your first aircraft how hard are the day and night traps then?
I am looking into buying my son an attachment for the bike, but I am concerned with the trailer. I am afraid someone would hit the trailer… what are your thoughts?

I have a 2006 Honda Civic 2 door and am going to install a Class I 1.25" trailer hitch, only to use it for installing a 2-bike carrier. The Curt # 11437 is the ONLY hitch for my car that is installed with 2 bolts on each side of the frame. The other brands only have one opening for 1 bolt on each side of the frame. Another advantage of the Curt is that it has a slight "V shape" making it sit under the car further and not be so noticeable. The Drawtite and Hidden Hitch brands look like they have a "straighter" line underneath the car making them look more noticeable. My question is, does having 2 bolts to attach to the frame on each side make it stronger? I would think it does. Thank you for your help.
I looked closer at the Drawtite 24763. It also has the "V shape" making for being less noticeable under the car. But it only has one hole for one bolt for installing on each side of the frame.
that can attach to a bike safely or can go as a back pack

We did one of those home male fertility tests and my hubby says the color is lighter but i say its not, we wanted to know 2 things. how do you get a sperm analysis done and where do you do it? Do they really put you in a room with porn and a sticky magazine and expect you to masterbate til you get the sample? second question is this, my hubby was riding a bike with no seat when he was like 8 and he hit a tree root and the bike pole where the seat would go hit him in the testicles. he has a really bad scar from it and there is no pigmentation on it and the scar is rough and bumpy. Could this have hurt his sperm or made him infertile? I am so scared he is infertile since we are trying to conceive our first child…
When I will have the money, I plan to buy a Hitch Bicycle Rack. Until then, I can afford a "SportRack Trunk Bike Carrier" for 3 bicycles.
Anyone bought this before?
Would you recommend it?
I unpack a WeeRide Kangaroo child bicycle seat and talk a little bit about it. The distributor for this product in the United States is: www.KidzProducts.com
AMBER HAGERMAN
On January 13, 1996, nine-year-old Amber Hagerman was riding her bicycle in Arlington, Texas, when a neighbor heard her scream. The neighbor saw a man pull Amber off her bike, throw her into the front seat of his pickup truck, and drive away at a high rate of speed. The neighbor called police and provided a description of the suspect and his vehicle. Arlington Police and the FBI interviewed other neighbors and searched for the suspect and vehicle. Local radio and television stations covered the story in their regular newscasts. Four days later, Amber’s body was found about four miles away. Her kidnapping and murder still remain unsolved.
Following her death in 1996, Dallas–Fort Worth broadcasters teamed with local police to develop an early warning system to help find abducted children. In 2003, President George W. Bush signed the Protect Act, which established a national AMBER Alert Coordinator within the U.S. Department of Justice.
THE AMBER ALERT PROGRAM
Named in honor of Amber Hagerman, the AMBER Alert program (which stands for America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response) is a partnership between the nation’s law enforcement agencies and radio and television stations to activate emergency bulletins to the public when a child is abducted and believed to be in danger. To date, it has helped recover more than 280 missing children since the program began in 1996. To learn more about the AMBER Alert program, visit the website at www.amberalert.gov.
